Growing Your Health 07-27-2010 - When Laura Spicer first saw the picture of the wild-looking unpolished “rock and roller” she never dreamed that he might be the answer to her problem, but he was – his name... Richard Bandler - one of the co-founders of NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming), a sophisticated form of hypnosis used by coaches, salespeople, therapists, and many of the most successful people in every field.
Bird Flu Pandemic-also applies to Swine Flu, SARS, Anthrax, West Nile, etc...
How can one of the healthiest groups of people on earth become one of the sickest? All it takes is a change in government!
Some of the earliest explorers to the Americas wrote in their journals about a “super-human race” who were muscular and “wedge shaped” (i.e., wide at the shoulders and narrow at the hips), kept all their hair in teeth into old age, and lived at least twice as long as the Europeans of the time... These were the Native Americans.
Kermit was wrong, it can be easy being green! Do you want to be truly green - eco friendly?
Did you know that most of the suggestions you hear today about how to be more green are only minimally effective and are based on what is best for American industry, not on what's actually best for the planet. Notice that most of the suggestions being given now are: “buy this product instead of that one,” but what we REALLY need is a different approach to living! We need to think about things in a whole different way than we're used to.
Growing Your Health 05-04-2010 - What to do about: Poisons, Toxins, and Venom's, oh my!-If there's one thing you encounter a lot of in spring and summer, it's poisons! Not that you don't see them in winter, but they are definitely more prevalent in the warm parts of the year.
Have you ever wished that there was something you could do to keep from getting sick with all the thousands of potential infectious diseases, colds, bio-terrorism, and new infections mutating all the time?
Health problems seem to go through fads, or at least practitioners diagnosis of health problems goes through fads. Every few years, there seems to be one or two health problems that almost everyone says they have. Maybe this is a bias on the part of the practitioner, or maybe it's just that our lifestyles go through fads and different lifestyle fads promote different diseases, or perhaps it's just that a lot of people become aware of a health problem all at once -- or maybe a little of all three. One of these "popular" health problems has been Candida albicans overgrowth.
Allergy symptoms and Natural Cures for Spring Allergies-If you have allergies then you know what it's like -- the itching, burning, feeling out of control, the sneezing, the feeling like you can't function normally, the frustration, the "why me?", the feeling singled out because your problem is so obvious -- unlike other people who can keep their problems a secret. That's what I was feeling as I rode in the back of our family car at the age of 12.
I felt excited, as I always do in a library, as I looked through the books on various hands-on healing and bodywork techniques. I left with a whole pile of books, as I usually do, and started looking through the tables of contents and the information on the back cover to see which one I wanted to read first. When I read the back of the quantum touch book, I immediately put the others aside and started reading it. Some of it sounded too good to be true, so I did what I always do – I used myself as a guinea pig and put it to the test.
Organic Gardening Part 3: This week I am talking with Kate Copsey, an Organic Gardener and freelance writer about organic gardening.
When I first started composting, I wasn't really sure what I was doing. I started by digging a hole and throwing anything and everything biodegradable into it. It worked, but it took a while. As I learned more, I realized just how simple and easy composting can be. I also realized that compost is much more than just fertilizer. It benefits the soil and everything growing in it in several different ways.
I love spending time in my garden every spring -- watching all the young growth popping out of everywhere, smelling the clear fresh air, feeling the warmth of the early morning sun on my face, and knowing that I'm doing it all organically. Many people don't notice the effects of toxic chemicals on their bodies until they have a degenerative disease. I'm one of the lucky ones who reacts to them right away – so I know immediately that they're harmful.
Have you ever shot a bow and arrow? Did you ever hit a bulls-eye? Could you do it? With your feet? Could you do it upside-down?
My guest this week has done exactly that... on national television! (and lived to tell about it.)
Have you ever wondered: When most people think of improving their health, they think of changing WHAT they eat and while that is definitely a good thing to do, it often makes people feel scared and overwhelmed, but is there an easier place to start?
I'm sure you've noticed recently all the advertisements for sexuality-enhancing products: from dangerous prescription treatments for ED (“Erectile Dysfunction” - what used to be called “impotence”) to all sorts of things being advertised in spam emails – none of which is a very good option.
Have you ever wondered whether there was a real, legitimate, effective, and safe way to fix this type of problem?
You've been learning some of my most valuable secrets about using herbs in extreme situations; situations so extreme, in fact, that many people believe that only invasive surgery and other similar treatments can be of any help-so be prepared!
A group of my friends have persuaded me to reveal some of my most valuable secrets about using herbal first-aid in extreme situations; situations so extreme, in fact, that even some herbalists believe that only invasive surgery and other similar treatments can be of any help.
Since I'm revealing these powerful secrets to a few, I thought it only fair that I break silence and share them with you too.
Have you ever wondered how to use herbs safely? It can sometimes seem overwhelming and make a person uncertain about what to do because there is so much information out there, and many of the claims contradict each other.
