What Are The Side Effects of HGH?

Human growth hormone is a substance that is gotten a very bad name in recent years, primarily because it has been used by many athletes who are essentially trying to use the hormone to cheat in their sport of choice. But, what that should tell you that this is a very powerful ingredients and one that can make you look and feel younger, have more energy, strength, and a better body overall. But, as with all products you introduce into your body, there are growth hormone side effects. http://jintropin.us/hgh-for-bodybuilding/

What Is Growth Hormone?

Growth hormone is naturally found in the human body, but in some cases there is simply not enough of it to go around. Traditionally, human growth hormone was given to children who were not growing fast enough or had some type of growth disorder or disease. More commonly, HGH or human growth hormone is provided to people as a means of fighting the aging process. HGH has the ability to help your cells reproduce quicker, which means that you can have more energy, muscle, and feel younger overall.

How Does This Work?

There are essentially two ways that you can get HGH into your body. Athletes who abused HGH as a form of doping have done so with injections, and that is an option for you and your doctor to discuss. Real human growth hormone is only available in a doctor’s office and with a prescription only.

The other option you have open to you is to use one of the HGH alternative products that are now on the market. These tend to be known as HGH boosters or HGH enhancers, both of which are designed to do the same thing that HGH what do, but in a more natural and significantly safer fashion.

What Should You Expect?

When you take an HGH booster, the first thing you will probably notice is that you have more energy. This may manifest itself in the fact that you can sleep better at night and wake up earlier, or that you have increased energy to go work out. Men also tend to notice that an HGH booster enhances their libido and provides them with more sexual ability and performance.

Are There Growth Hormone Side Effects?

One of the reasons why so many people are opting for HGH boosters or enhancers rather than traditional growth hormone product is because they are so much safer and tend to have fewer side effects. The side effects that you will generally get from actual growth hormone can be substantial both in the short term and the long term. For instance, many athletes who have taken growth hormones for length of time have come down with considerable health problems, including forms of cancer, diabetes, and tumors.

You will not get those side effects from human growth hormone enhancers, because the growth hormone that is produced is natural and inside your body already. You are simply producing more of what you naturally have rather than introducing a foreign substance into your body.

Where Can You Buy High-Quality Supplements?

If you are thinking about trying it growth hormone enhancer, if only to avoid the growth hormone side effects that are often seen in traditional HGH products, then you should definitely shop online. When you do, you will be assured of getting a product that is much higher quality than what you could possibly buy locally, and you will usually get a money back guarantee on the product, too.

An added benefit of product that are bought online is the fact that they usually come with a dietary or weight loss program that will help you to get even better benefits from them. By combining an HGH booster or enhancer along with a specific diet, you should have no problem lowering your body fat, increasing lean muscle mass, and reversing some of the signs of aging that you are currently experiencing.

Is This Right for You?

The most important thing to keep in mind if you are looking at growth hormone side effects online is that before you take this or any other kind of nutritional supplement, you should be sure to talk to your doctor first. In general, it is a good idea to have a full set of blood tests before using any kind of HGH enhancer, just to make sure that you are perfectly healthy and that the product will not cause any problems for you.

That being said, most people find that there are no growth hormone side effects when using a natural HGH booster or enhancer. They also find that there are significant benefits to using these products, not least of which are the fact that they make you feel more energetic, stronger, and younger perhaps than you have felt in years.

The Health Benefits of Music-Did you ever wonder why music is so important to God? So many Biblical references tell us to sing to the Lord, sing praises to His Name, sing for joy to the Lord. In fact, we are commanded in both Ephesians 5:19 and Colossians 3:16 to “sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to God” – to sing and make music in our hearts to the Lord constantly.

What I would like to draw your attention to is that science has been researching music’s health benefits. Here are some fascinating facts borne out by scientific studies as you listen to music:

Listening to “joyful” music improved blood vessel function! Dr. Michael Miller of the University of Maryland studied heart health and documented the positive effects of laughter. He then used the same research method to study the effects of music on cardiovascular health.

In his study he asked ten subjects to bring music they enjoyed most. The music in that group ranged from country and rap to jazz and classical rock. He emphasized that everyone responds to music differently and what is joyful to one may not be to another.

He hooked each person up to a blood pressure monitor and played their favorite music. Then he measured their blood pressure. Nine out of the ten had very positive results. The findings were very consistent. He concluded that the effects of listening to music you really enjoy are comparable to taking some types of heart medications or even of doing exercise. Of course, it doesn’t replace the need to watch your diet. His research found that it improves blood vessel function, and can become a pleasurable addition to a heart-healthy lifestyle.

His suggestion for getting the best response is not listening to the same song day after day. If, for example, you listen to one song on Monday, don’t listen again for a week or two – choose another of your favorites otherwise you become desensitized to the emotional effect. I think we can even see that from scripture.

In 1 Samuel 16:23 it says: “Whenever the spirit from God came upon Saul, David would take his harp and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better and the evil spirit would leave him.”

At first, each time King Saul became agitated, David would play the harp and he would calm down. When you read further in 1 Samuel (18:10 and 19:9, 10) you see that even though David was playing the soothing music as before, Saul was not calmed and in fact tried to kill David.

Another fascinating fact is that music actually by-passes the conscious mind, directly stimulating the portion of the brain that controls emotions. The right music can actually be more effective than a tranquilizer!

So, put that CD or tape in, charge up your ipod and make joyful music that you really love part of a healthy lifestyle. That’s a command straight from the Father and you know He always really does know best!

Your Money and Your Mindset 11-15-2010 – This week’s episode:How to Stay Motivated on Your Wealth Creation Journey?

Wealth Creation Journey: 10 Tips to Staying Motivated and Focused

Motivation is like a shower, you need one everyday-Zig Zaglar

Firstly it would be unrealistic to feel pumped all the time, so don’t be hard on yourself if you have the odd day when you feel really flat. Here are 10 suggestions to get you to re focus. Go get‘em!

  1. Remind yourself again what it is that you are striving to achieve
  • Is it a physical fitness goal of wanting to run a personal best in the Boston marathon or being financially independent in 5 years
    • Either way, are your goals written down for you to review and read as often as it is necessary
  1. Portion control
  • You can eat an entire elephant by yourself if it is only one bite at a time. So chunk it down to manageable portions that are achievable in days and weeks rather than months and years!
  1. Do a stock take of where you were 3, 6 and 12 months ago relative to where you are now
  • Celebrate your wins, no matter how small. It’s a win, don’t get too precious about it
    • Keep a journal and record your progress. You will be surprised at how far you have come
  1. Practice mental rehearsal of having reached your goal
  • Make it as real as possible by imagining what you are wearing, who is with you, whereabouts is this taking place, does it have a particular smell. Above all, tap into the feeling of having aced the goal and remind yourself of that winning feeling by clicking your finger 3 times in succession.
    • Do this daily even when you don’t feel like it, especially when you don’t feel like it

Watch the 15 minute show preview:

  1. What are you eating, when do you exercise
  • Remember the old computer programming term GIGO (garbage in garbage out). If you are fueling your body with junk food, you will not have the energy and stamina to get to your goals. This is a non negotiable fact of getting where you want to go and what you want from life
    • Yes, your body is a temple. Worship it with fresh food, vegetables, and lots of water. Ditch the refined carbs and trans fats, they clog your arteries and reduces blood and oxygen flow to your brain. Lord knows you need all your neurons to fire if you want to be able to think clearly.
    • Physical fitness is not an option. Again it is one of those things you just do to stay alert and healthy to be able to enjoy your successes when they come. Being in an iron lung and a millionaire is kind of bittersweet
  1. Oh brother where art thou; who do you hanging out with
  • Are these people supportive or do they make it a sport of taking potshots at your dreams and goals; if they are in the latter category, say bye-bye and leave them to wallow in their own pity party
    • Create a mastermind support group. These are people on the same wavelength who will not ridicule your goals, dreams and aspirations but instead cheer you on. You can learn from them and vice versa
    • If this type of support is thin on the ground, consider hiring a business/life/fitness coach to keep you accountable. Yes, it costs money so think of it as an investment in yourself. “You’re worth it” as the Revlon ad goes.
  1. What are you reading, watching on television
  • I am a big fan of reading motivational books by Jim Rohn, T Harv Eker, Bob Proctor and the cool thing is that there are lots of free mp3 downloads you can listen to in your car or as I like to call it “your university on wheels”.
    • Stop watching the news. If it is really important, somebody will tell you. Notice how television only reports bad news; that is because bad news sells.
  1. When do you stay still-meditate daily
  • This is about staying healthy on the inside
    • Often the solutions to business problems or obstacles at work are found when we shut up and stay still long enough for our sub conscious to present us with an answer.
    • Don’t be skeptical if you haven’t tried it for at least a month
  1. When did you last do a budget and track your expenditure and earnings
  • It is vital not to shy away from tracking your finances. How then will you know that you have made progress in putting aside money for investments and passive income building? Answer me that?
  1. Get in sync with your internal clock
  • If you are a night owl and your best ideas come to mind after 10pm, ask yourself why are you flogging your body to be up at 5am to be inspired and creative on your projects. It does not make sense, so stop it!

Bouncing Back Now Guest-Bill Gladwell 12-01-2010 – As the special guest on the Bouncing Back Now show on the Real Coaching Radio TV Network, Mr. Bill Gladwell intrigued viewers as a famous hypnotist, entrepreneur, entertainer, dating mentor, and author. His new book is entitled: “In the House of Ideas.” Bill captivated listeners with his interesting perspectives on relationships and shared his motto: Helping you make changes that will set in motion a new life.

The Takeaway Message

How to Be Authentic in a Relationship? – Gladwell’s key message to men and women alike is “to be authentic, be real, be genuine, and to live an interesting life”. As a dating mentor primarily for men, Gladwell advised that “you first take stock of who you are and who you want to be. You can continually work on yourself in background while you set out to clarify what you are looking for in a love interest. Take the time to write down what you want in a potential mate including: appearance, attitude, communications style, activities, and other important dimensions so that you have a good picture in your mind.”

Gladwell continued: “This picture can then be a frame of reference for when you meet new people to quickly assess whether there is a potential opportunity for a good relationship. Having a prepared list is helpful to deciding at the outset that some people clearly do not meet your criteria; this saves a lot of time and energy. Otherwise, you might just pay attention to those who pay attention to you.”

What to Say on the First Date

Gladwell recommended that: “Everyone can first work on yourself – set a goal – make the changes needed in you. Then go out, have fun, and live your life. While you are busy, you just might encounter a good partner for your next relationship – without looking.”

According to Gladwell, the first date can be fun — or not. “Maintaining a positive attitude – just to meet and enjoy a new person and to see what happens is the best approach – with no pressure. Rely on your intuition for guidance. Among the conversation topics to avoid on a first date are: your ex-spouse, deceased pet, nagging health issues, child custody fights, and troubles at work.”

Gladwell cited good conversation topics on a first date as “your interests in books, music, and movies, your favorite restaurant, hobbies, and sports. And remember to ask them questions and to actually listen to their answers. If their answers don’t align with your questions – run, don’t walk for the door – they could be using a script from a predator dating service.”

Gladwell concluded with sage advice: “Be curious. Have fun and your date might just have fun as well. Then you are well on your way to a potential second date. It could take three dates for you to truly assess whether this is could be the beginning of a new relationship or not; be fair but cautious and withhold your judgment until then.”  For more information: visit Bill’s site

Your Money and Your Mindset 11-29-2010 – How to Acquire Leadership Skills? and What has leadership got to do with becoming wealthy?

Answer: Everything

Leadership, or more importantly good leadership underpins your ability to succeed. As a great leader, you are the inspiration, visionary and literally the soul of your business.

It applies equally across the spectrum should you be the CEO of a multi-national corporation or an individual entrepreneur with a red hot idea.

The most reliable way to creating wealth is to build up a business that turns over significant dollars and selling it as a viable concern or have a business model that can be replicated many times over, then licensing these as franchises.

The caveat here is that your business must provide exemplary value for a service and/or product that is second to none, and that the consumer is willing to pay top dollar for what you offer.

Watch the 15 minute show preview:

I use the example of your toothache and your smiling dentist, Dr Fang. If you had a toothache you’d probably ignore it for as long as it is possible. Show me a person who enjoys sitting in the dentist’s chair with a high speed drill on their teeth and I will show you someone who is flat lying.

However, there will come a time when all the pain killer tablets in your bathroom cabinet will not stop the sharp shooting pain that makes you want to grab a hammer and hit your toes with it because that is the only thing that will take your attention away from your toothache. This usually occurs round about 9 PM on a Sunday evening.

At this stage you will not care if you have to take a second mortgage on your house to have your toothache dealt with. Dr Fang is more than happy to oblige, fixes your toothache and makes the pain go away (for a fee).

Dr Fang knows that toothaches do not occur between the hours of 9-5 on weekdays only. In fact, he/she has noticed that if their dental surgery was open 24 hours a day 7 days a week, there would not be a shortage of patients in their waiting room. Because Dr Fang cannot be at more than one place at a time, they hire other dentists and support staff to replicate their service across town or even the country.

Their secret weapon is that they are able to leverage their time. Another equally important component is that they aim for staff members to have the same passion and work ethic.

If you are a heart centered businessperson, not only will you be looking at a bottom line of increased profits or revenue, but as importantly, that increased productivity has not come at the expense of your employees’ well being. Put yourself in Dr Fang’s shoes and ask yourself, how do I get my staff to share my big picture goals and visions for my business?

Here’s where effective, strong and good leadership becomes vital to a business not only surviving but thriving, GFC or no GFC.

Just reiterating, as a great leader, you are the inspiration, visionary and literally the soul of your business. Essentially, leadership is firstly knowing yourself (and being wholly comfortable and accepting of who you are).

Secondly having a clear vision of what your (business) goals are.

Thirdly, it is being able to clearly communicate this vision to your staff and getting total buy in from them. They have to do this voluntarily or else it will not work (think Captain Bligh and the mutiny on the HMS Bounty).

This includes building trust, getting your workers to function as a cohesive unit and motivating them to perform at their highest level, and to do so on a consistent basis.

Impossible, you say?

Not if you are an emotionally intelligent leader.

People are not motivated by money as much as feeling that their contribution is worthwhile and publicly acknowledged.

More on this in my next post; until then

Yours in health, wealth and happiness

Their collective wisdom has been distilled into his latest book, How they did it: Billion Dollar Insights from the Heart of America.

He freely admits this book was a labor of love, driven by an insatiable curiosity to know the minds and passions of this select group of diverse individuals.

All aspiring entrepreneurs who believe they are billionaires in the making will do well to heed the advice of the 45 who have gone before them. Here are Six Success Tips for Aspiring Billionaires to steer you to success:

  1. Do not be afraid to fail; if and when you do, make sure you fail fast
  2. Do not be precious about your idea, be willing to tweak it
  3. Leave your ego at the door; be astute enough to hire people smarter than you
  4. However, make sure they are nice not just smart
  5. Honestly is still the best policy, so be on the level when communicating with the people who work for you because no one becomes a billionaire on their own
  6. Believe in the goodness of your angel investors but have Plans B, C and D just in case they decide to bail

Recapping Part 1: Financial freedom is determined by your mindset. In other words your emotional money profile determines your current level of wealth.

Financial Freedom, Mindset and You-Part 2: So, if you think you should be doing a whole lot better than you are presently, chances are that you have had sub consciously programmed into your mind (without your permission), the money beliefs you picked up from your parents or other authority figures when you were a child.

Image via Wikipedia

These programs do not support your conscious waking goals for financial freedom and/or wildly successful business ventures. I referred to this as the X Factor.

If I was to ask the question “Do you want to be rich” the immediate response of 99.9 percent of the population would be a resounding “Heck, yeah!” But for a majority, there is the internal conflict that arises with being in the position of having a lot of the green folding stuff handed to them.

It is well known that most people who win hundreds of thousands or millions of dollars through lotteries end up losing the lot and have in their wake a string of broken relationships. WHY? Because these people do not have the mindset of a wealthy person, instead they are poor people with a lot of money.

But before you become indignant and start hitting the reply button let me elaborate.

We all have a “money thermostat” programmed into our subconscious; we are comfortable with having a pre-determined amount of money in our bank account. This is in direct proportion to our sense of self worth or self esteem.

And here’s a predictor tip: Introduce me to your 4 or 5 best friends with whom you socialize and generally hang out and I can tell you what you are earning at the moment.

For example, there are people who feel that earning $100,000 a year is the all time high of a level whilst others are comfortable with being $35,000 per annum type of guys and gals.

Being creatures of habit, we gravitate towards what makes us comfortable and some people will do just about anything to return to their comfort zone. They will subconsciously rid themselves of the excess money by making poor investment choices or recklessly spend the cash on expensive trinkets such as fast cars, and boats that depreciate in value over time. They also tend to attract people into their lives who will help them use up the cash quickly!

So, how do you shift this “money thermostat” into the region of $100,000’s instead of $10,000s? I could have said $1,000,000’s but that would seem like leaping into the realms of the impossible, so baby steps first.

Number 1- work on your self esteem (this is a given, folks).

Number 2- get comfortable with earning and receiving more than you are currently getting. For the sake of the illustration, grab a piece of paper and write down the figure you are currently earning. Note the feelings that surface; now multiply that number by 2 and note again how you feel when you write that new number down. Now multiply this new figure by 2 again and repeat this until you cannot feel comfortable with this new number.

Here comes the good bit.

We will explore your reactions and more importantly breaking through the emotional and mental barriers to financial freedom in Part 3

Germs are everywhere – There is an estimated five nonillion (5×10 to the power of 30) bacteria alive and thriving on the Earth today according to an article on Foxnews.com ! Yikes!! They far outnumber plant and human life on this planet.

We know there are “good” and “bad” bacteria. E Coli and the like are bad and then there are viruses as well! We are continually surrounded by microbes. We can never be “germ-free” no matter how hard we try. Germs are everywhere. And we wouldn’t want to because the good news is that the majority of bacteria are “friendly.” They help recycle nutrients; they are needed for digestion of our food, create a natural form of antibiotic in our guts, enhance our immune systems, increase our ability to synthesize B vitamins and to absorb other nutrients and more! However, it is when the bad outnumber the good that problems begin.

Since we are pretty much surrounded with all types of bacteria and viruses and we are particularly vulnerable at this time of year, I thought it would be interesting to know what some of the most germ-laden surfaces are and how you can keep yourself and your family healthy inspite of them.

So here are some facts about these germs we co-exist with daily: Each square centimeter of skin alone harbors about 100,000 bacteria. And a single sneeze can spray droplets infested with bacteria and viruses as far as 3 feet away. Different surfaces can allow the bacteria to live from just a few hours to several days, or even months.

The least favorable type of surface for bacteria to live on is a hard, nonporous surface such as a countertop, tile floor, or glass. Cold and flu viruses can survive on dry surfaces for more than 48 hours, while some bacteria, such as E. coli, can survive on dry surfaces for months on end. Soft, wet surfaces (particularly those with plenty of food) are perfect for bacteria.

Cloth, sponges and carpets that have gotten wet are excellent living places for bacteria because it protects them from exposure to the environment, dry air or sunlight. Money is another surface upon which bacteria can live for quite some time. Paper money is often the worst, but bacteria can even live on coins for several hours as well. Most money is touched by hundreds, or thousands, of people, comes in contact with a variety of surfaces, and is porous, allowing bacteria to move deep inside the fibers to avoid environmental hazards. Money can host bacteria for several weeks at a time, and if used frequently (like $1, $5 and $20 bills) can be re-infected over and over again.

Office computer keyboards are another microbial playground! A study by a UK consumer group tested 33 office keyboards for microbial contamination. From their findings they labeled several as being “health hazardous.” One keyboard had five times as many germs as the same office’s public toilet seats! You should periodically clean your computer keyboard and certainly do not eat near it! Public magazines (especially those in doctor’s offices) and other waiting rooms are another breeding ground for cold and flu germs.

Any magazines in restrooms can also have fecal bacteria (yuk!) If you do read a public magazine, avoid touching your face and always wash your hands or use hand sanitizer after.

If you work out in a gym – be aware! A 2006 study in the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine found the cold virus on 73% of weight-lifting equipment and on 51% of aerobic equipment. It is suggested that you thoroughly wipe down all equipment after use and avoid touching your face until you’ve washed your hands.

A study found two-thirds of shopping cart handles to be contaminated with fecal bacteria, including E. coli and salmonella, even more so than public toilet seats. Shopping cart handles are excellent transmitters of diarrhea and other potential illnesses, both to adults and to children. Be sure to use the complementary sanitary wipes many grocery stores offer or wipe handles down with your own disinfectant. It goes without saying you should avoid touching your face while shopping but PLEASE don’t let your young child suck on the handle as I’ve seen some do!

The Lord thought physical cleanliness was so important, He outlined specific measures for his people in numerous places in the Bible (see especially Leviticus 11-17). The bottom line is this: Wash your hands more (with plain soap and water) and avoid touching your face. These two universal measures will go further than anything else to keep you healthy and germ-free all year ‘round.

What does living consciously mean to you? If I asked 20 different people what it means to live a conscious life, I’m sure I’d get twenty different answers.

One person might say living consciously is living simply and leaving a light footprint on the Earth; another would say it’s about being mindful in all our relationships; another would put their focus on being authentic and expressing their truth; and yet another would emphasize living their passion and giving their unique gifts to the collective well being.

You see, to a certain extent it depends where we’re starting from and there’s room for all our differences. For me, there’s a central core to living consciously and a very important aspect is the freedom to choose. We don’t always have a choice about what life throws at us but we do always have a choice about how we respond to life in each moment, and these moment to moment choices create our experience, here and now and in the future.

To put it very simply, we either make unconscious choices or we can make conscious choices. Unconscious choices come from our conditioned mind, they’re habitual and they give us more of what we’ve had before. This may be a certain level of comfort or a quick fix as provided by comfort foods or a glass of wine for example, or it may be a repetition of old drama which keeps us stuck in familiar misery. We repeat these unconscious choices over and over until we start to wake up and become more conscious.

Conscious choices bring our thoughts and actions into alignment with our authentic values; with what will ultimately bring us real satisfaction and fulfillment.  Conscious choices lead to learning, growth, and the opportunity to create something new and fresh.

Let me give you an example. This week I met a young man; his relationship with his partner of several years had become so difficult for both of them, they had decided to part. He was very angry; the immediate pain of losing this relationship was stirring up old childhood pain of feeling abandoned by his parents and he wanted to hurt himself and punish his parents, his partner and his child. Luckily, he made a conscious choice and sought out his long term friend and mentor who encouraged him to see the situation as a new beginning, full of opportunities.

If he wants to free himself from this unconscious pattern of feeling abandoned and wanting to punish he will need to make not just one but many conscious choices, every day. These deeply engrained patterns do not easily go away, as we all know. But knowing that we have a choice immediately frees us from being a victim of our past. It may not be easy to change old patterns but it is possible.

Relationships are the mirrors in which we can see our conditioned limiting patterns most clearly. When things don’t work out in a relationship or we feel hurt, it’s human nature to blame the other person. If only they would change, then everything would be OK, right? But actually it’s much more empowering to see everything that happens in all your relationships as information about you and how you can be different. Then the power and the responsibility is in your hands. You cease to be the victim of other’s behavior and become the leader in your own life. This is freedom!

Bouncing Back Now-Guest Elliott Katz 11-10-2010 – This week’s episode: Interview with Elliott Katz, Author and Speech Writer Revealed the Three Keys to Being a Strong Man.

Mr. Elliott Katz intrigued viewers with the concept of being a strong man. His new book entitled: Being the Strong Man a Woman Wants has been translated into 20 languages and is in worldwide distribution.

The Direction

Moving beyond the trendy ideas about a man’s role that just don’t seem to work, Elliott shared insights on being a man that have withstood the test of time. Interestingly, these insights are the traits that he has heard many women complain were lacking in men today:
· showing leadership
· making decisions
· taking responsibility

He also discussed the importance for men of stepping up to the plate. Elliott stressed that women are looking for strong men in their lives. They want to feel safe. In many cases, as women have gotten stronger and more independent, men have gotten progressively weaker. Women are picking up more and more responsibility and decision making and they are beginning to deeply resent it.

Watch the 15 Minute show preview:

How Does It Work For You?

When we hear that all women want a strong man – we re-actively recoil in the generalization. Of course, each couple is unique. In every relationship, clearly some decisions are more suited to the particular woman, and some decisions are more suited to the particular man. But most would agree that major and joint decisions need to be made with participation and constructive input by both parties. A relationship is a partnership; a relationship is a team. With the partnership attitude, the relationship simply works better.

What Are Men Doing?

Where have today’s men gone astray? Katz theorized that since the age of industrialization modern men have spent less time with their fathers. They have fewer strong male role models and limited daily encounters with men in general. In the media men are often portrayed as weak, cast as buffoons in the sit coms, the subject of ridicule, and the brunt of jokes.
Men are genuinely trying to be sensitive to the needs of wants of the women in their lives. Elliott noted that the standard men’s “whatever you want” reply is not on for important decisions that affect the couple and the family. Women are becoming increasingly frustrated by the lack of leadership they are seeing.
Elliott was careful to distinguish the traits of the strong man from a mean, controlling bully – this is not the goal at all. A strong man can be both kind and considerate — as well as decisive. It is a balancing act that modern men are just now navigating. Men’s roles have shifted so far and so fast, up until now, there has been very little in the way of a useful road map. Now there is.
